A: No, all SCANPAN products are 100% free from PFOA and PFOS, from production to final products. Read more under the “Green Tek” link in the menu on the left.

Q: Black colour comes off the base of my product?
A: When our aluminium products are cleaned in the dishwasher, the base will oxidize causing black colour to come off on the external base. On the inside, the product will functionally as well as cosmetically be unchanged. Therefore, the smudging does not form the basis of a replacement of the product. There is nothing you can do to prevent the base from smudging once the problem has occurred.

Q: What temperature do you obtain in a SCANPAN pressure cooker?
A: At low pressure (grey valve): 103°C and a pressure of approx. 4-5 psi. At high pressure (red valve): 127°C and a pressure of approx. 15-17 psi.

Q: What weight are the cooking times in the user guide based on?
A: For meat and fish, the cooking time corresponds to 1 kg, for fruit and vegetables to a portion for 4-6 people, for soup to 1 litre. Please note that the cooking times indicated should be taken as a guide and may vary depending on the season as well as the quality and thickness of the food.
