Our Own "Granddad's Beard"Type: Desserts and pastry
Ingredients250g butter 250g sugar 8 egg yolks 200g wheat flour 20g baking powder ˝ cup milk ˝ cup butter milk
Meringue 5 egg whites 200g sugar Zest of 1 lemon
Preparation
Beat butter and sugar together. Whip in egg yolks one at a time. Fold in flour and baking powder. Then fold in milk and buttermilk. Pour into roaster (5 L) and bake for 20 minutes at 180°C.
Spread the fruit compote of the season/jam on the top.
Meringue: Beat the ingredients and spread as a layer or as decorative tops. Bake for 20 minutes at 170°C.
